1. CAMELS.
USES OF CAMEL
- is the main mode of transport in some areas
- some have socio-religious uses, e.g. Gabbro people use camel for their spiritual practices.
- can be used to pay dowry marriage negotiations
- some communities sacrifice them for their gods to appease them
- some of food in terms of meat and milk
- recreational purposes eg ridding competition
1.1. BREEDS OF CAMEL
- DROMEDARY CAMEL-CAMELUS DROMEDARIES
-They have single hump
-they are also called Arabian camel
-they are native of dry desert of Asia
-they are reared in Kenya and are used for ridding
2. BACTARIAN- CAMELUS BACTRIUNUS
-It has two humps
-it provide animal power like cart pulling , carrying of goods
